Sydenham Catholic Club has been going strong for 50 years now! And we are rightly proud of our rich history in the local community of SE26. With pubs and clubs across the country going to the wall at an alarming rate, we are fully committed to providing a warm welcome to all our regular patrons and a friendly greeting to any new faces who happen to call in.

Our club is nestled in the south east of London with the neighbouring areas of Penge, Anerley, Crystal Palace and Catford. A big hello to the South East London Massive. And a big hello to those further afield and beyond.

We are one of the rare venues to provide live music every Saturday night and special occasions such as St Patrick's Day, Easter celebrations, Christmas and New Year's Eve. Dancing is not obligatory but is highly recommended. We hold weekly quiz nights, screen live sports, pool & darts. And we are very family friendly! We actively support a number of charities and local associations.

Sydenham Catholic Club is the ideal venue for all manner of social functions, small and intimate or larger gatherings. We provide the ideal setting for all ocassions such as christenings, weddings, funerals, wakes, birthdays and anniversaries. For more information call: Margaret: 020 8778 3073

Sydenham Catholic Clubs falls under the auspices of the Parish of Our Lady & St Philip Neri. We are proud to have Fr Luke as our Club President. A big thanks to all our regular patrons - the true lifeblood of our local community.

Sydenham Catholic Club was established in October 1968. Its purpose was primarily to provide a friendly venue for families to meet for social gatherings. It is, of course, strongly linked to the local parish and fund raising is a major part of the club's activities. Since it was established, the club has raised more than a quarter of a million pounds, which has gone to the church and other worthwhile causes.

The building itself was once a boys school. The club was refurbished in 2000, providing a warm and welcoming environment. Today, it is the perfect place to socialise for all ages. Why not join us? You are warmly welcome!

Our door is always open for visitors and new faces. Try us out, and if you like the experience, come again with a friend or two. And why not become a member and make savings on music nights and special occasions. Don't be a stranger!

We are appealing for photographs of the club for our 50th anniversay celebration. We invite anyone who has old photographs of the club to be included in our planned display in October to celebrate 50 years of existence. All photographs will be handled with care and returned. Thank you for your help.

We have the Dualers (Tyber and Pete) back for the last time in the Club on Thursday 1 NOVEMBER 2018. Tickets are £12 each and are available now to purchase from the club.

We are happy to announce that we are holding monthly bingo nights on a Friday evening. Don't miss a great night of fun and camaraderie. And you may be in the money! £3 for the whole book, with 25% of ticket sales in prizes for a line and 50% for full house.

We play 5 games and a bonus game if time. We also have a snowball on one of the games, decided by the players, so if anyone calls full house in 40 or under numbers called they will win £60 for the nominated game. The more that play the bigger the prizes!

Our next bingo is on 17th August with the snowball now at £180 for 51 numbers. So come down and you may be a big winner.

The Belfast Brogue!
When I was at primary school in north London, our games teacher, Ernest Turkington, in his best Belfast accent, told us to bring 'a pair of Spurs socks' the following week. In his next lesson the whole class was wearing socks from the Tottenham Hotspur replica kit (even the Arsenal boys). He was apoplectic - he'd meant 'spare' socks.
-Andrew Varley, Millhouse Green (from local newspaper)

PLEASE NOTE: There is a charge of £1 for all non-members visiting the club. The usual Saturday night charges remain the same: £2 members and £4 non-members.
