CLUB MEMORIES

TAKE A TRIP DOWN MEMORY LANE!
During our 40th Anniversary year in 2008, the club walls were decked with various photos of times past. We would like to thank all those who loaned us images for everyone to share and relive past glories. Before returning these photos we scanned them so that we could preserve these memories on the web site. When I write 'we', I mean of course committee member Eamon O'Connor, who spent a considerable amount of time scanning the images, to whom we owe a big debt of gratitude. Thanks Eamon!

The images in this first gallery are in no discernible order or chronology. And because of the diverse number of sources, we are unable to credit specific images to the relevant individuals. Thanks to all who loaned images for this purpose. Thank you!
So just view and enjoy!

HELP FOR HEROES, FEBRUARY 2010
Sydenham Catholic Club hosted the charity night event 'Help For Heroes' Friday 12 February. Music was provided by The Avenue and a fun time was had by all. Raea-Jofre and Melissa of the 138 Fifles Cadets (above left) were on hand and in uniform to assist with the fund raising.
The considerable sum of £515 was raised and a big thank you to everyone who donated to the raffle and supported the event.

  POLLING STATION INFO
The Club was used as a Polling Station during the recent elections Thursday 4 June 2009. The polling day went very well and there is every indication that the club will be used again for future polling events, which is good news for the local community and club finances.

EVELINA VIPs UPDATE 2009
The fund raising dance was a great success raising £2310 for the Evelina Children's hospital. Mick & Eileen would like to thank everyone who supported the event in any way, and look forward to seeing you all again next year.
